Civil War and Art

I have a deep passion for the Civil War. I have had this passion for many years. Reading books on the great generals and brutal battles which fill my guest room. In particular, the battle at Gettysburg, a turning point and much needed victory for the Union. I loved the movie that came out in 1993. I visit Gettysburg nearly every year for some great walks and to hear stories from the Park Rangers.

It’s that passion and, a little obsession, that I did these paintings.

From Left to right:

The aim was to merge my love of painting with my passion for the Civil War and, in particular, Gettysburg. And I am happy with what I’ve managed to paint thus far. What do you think?
