I am really excited about this canvas. And for a couple of reasons.
To start with, this piece and I have been on a journey. I struggled with this canvas. It sat on the aisle for months and months. I did not like where it was going, I had start over with some aspects of it. I don´t know how it is for other artists; painters, writers or other craftsmen, but sometimes there is a piece of wood or a canvas that sits there. You start on this piece and it isn´t what you expected it to be or you aren´t happy with how it´s progressing.
Sometimes creativity sits on an aisle for a while.
And then, you have it! I went somewhere I don´t normally go. I created something bold with color. If you have been following my work here then you have seen my work, I am normally not as brazen with color. Take an early example I posted in 2015 on Jimmy Page.
Here I have incorporated the burning LZ 129 Hindenburg, which is also depicted on their debut album. I am quite pleased with my direction. I give you, Jimmy Page on fire!
